Bright Future Learning Center is an after-school learning center that provides tutoring based on your child’s academic needs. By providing low student-teacher ratios, we ensure that each student receives the individual attention needed in order to build up the skills and confidence necessary to achieve success. We are committed to helping each and every child reach their potential and beyond.
What does Bright Future Learning Center offer in addition to what my child receives from school?
At Bright Future Learning Center your child’s program is designed to complement course material covered in the classroom. Though school curriculums are based according to grade not all children are able to grasp all concepts at the same pace. Bright Future Learning Center allows the individual needs and abilities of each child to govern his or her own progress. That’s why Bright Future Learning Center students are able to perform to their full potential.
What programs are unique to Bright Future Learning Center?
We offer a unique homework support program in which the student brings in his or her homework assignments from school. Our goal is to have the student understand and complete the assignments in timely manner. Both the student and the parent see immediate results with this unique program.
We strongly adhere to the definition of what tutoring is - “to teach or guide usually individually in a special subject or for a particular purpose”. We achieve this by offering your child his or her one-on-one tutor (maximum two to one) to help them through their lesson rather than then assigning worksheets that your child must complete on their own. Our teachers are with your child to provide guidance and motivation to complete the assignments.
Does Bright Future Learning Center offer Remedial or Enrichment Programs?
Bright Future Learning Center can help children who may be struggling and falling behind. Our goal is that all students will be able to fully grasp their studies at the respective level. For those seeking enrichment, we prepare individualized programs based on the student’s capabilities to achieve their academic goals.
Does Bright Future Learning Center offer standardized test preparation?
Bright Future Learning Center specializes in building up skills that will improve all aspects of academic performance including test-taking preparatory work. Students become more familiar with the test materials while developing essential time management and problem-solving skills. Students are given practice tests under simulated test-taking conditions preparing them for the test day.
How do you determine which areas of study my child needs help with?
When you enroll your child at the Bright Future Learning Center Learning Center, the first thing we do is administer a diagnostic test to your child in order to identify possible problem areas. Upon reviewing the results from the test, the Center Director meets with you to recommend a comprehensive, personalized program of instruction based upon your child's strengths and weaknesses. The creation of this personalized program ensures that the needs of your child are met in order to improve academic performance, sharpen skills, imbue confidence and motivation, and ensure academic success.
How do I know if my child needs tutoring?
There are many reasons why a child may need tutoring just as there are many signs that your child needs help. Some of the more common signals include: your child's grades begin to declined no matter how hard he or she seems to be working; Your child spends time to do their homework, but gets frustrated easily- this may indicate a lack of basic skills or a weakness in a specific academic area. Lastly, additional tutoring maybe recommended by a teacher or school counselor.
My child has a learning disability. Can Bright Future Learning Center help?
We work with children with a variety of academic goals and needs, many who either are or have been in Special Education programs. We understand that children with learning difficulties have special needs. With our help and specialized attention they can, and often do succeed. Of course, our ability to help depends on the nature of the problem. We'll be better able to determine if we can help after the evaluation. The evaluation will give us a good indication of his/her specific academic strengths and weaknesses.
How soon will I see results?
Since the learning styles and abilities are unique to each child, the
progress made over time by the child is also unique. Some children are
able move forward quickly, while others may need extra time and help.
Our parents have indicated that they have not only seen improvements
in their child’s test scores and assignments, but have seen remarkable
changes in their self-esteem, motivation and their confidence in approaching
school work.
How much time commitment is required?
Most students attend Bright Future Learning Center twice a week to take full advantage of personalized tutoring.
Do you offer tutoring during the summer?
Yes, although the summer is a time for fun and play, a lot of our students use the summer to catch up, review the previous grade level material and to get a head start on the upcoming school year.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No, at Bright Future Learning Center we do not have you sign any contracts.
How do I get started?
It's easy. Give us a call and the Center Director will discuss with you the process to get your child started. Depending on which program you are interested in, we will have your child complete the diagnostic test as a means to identify and analyze problem areas. Upon review of your child's strengths and weaknesses, the Center Director meets with you to recommend a comprehensive, personalized program of instruction. Students may enroll at any time throughout the year including the summer.
