Time
management, organizational skills, memory work, note-taking and listening
skills are all essential skills for a student’s academic
development. All of these areas together help constitute our study skills
program. These skills help a student understand and retain information,
improve research skills and prepare for tests and exams in a more beneficial
manner which leads to more confidence and more motivation towards doing
well in school. Although study skills are an essential part of a student’s
development, they are not formally taught at school. They are
however, a part of our curriculum. Areas taught in this program include:
- Organization and Time Management
- Note-Taking Skills
- Listening Skills
- Reading and Studying Strategies
- Test Preparation and Taking
- Improving Memory and Recall Work
